Excercise 2 -- Stamp Pattern, Stamp, and Plastic Thingy
Forgot to post the picture. I think doing the stamp excercise is going to be interesting. I'm already seeing pattern possibilities to everything I look at. Cutting the stamps is another matter . . . . .
Cutting craft foam with scissors and gluing the pieces down to make a stamp is less risky than cutting the erasers!
I found it was really easy to go directly from Exercise #1 by cutting the foam in the shape and then dissecting the shape. Just as easy as cutting the paper shapes.
Foam, good idea! i've started with erasers and as i was standing up i felt apprehensive of severing my leg. question. do you prime the sponge to make it less/more absorbent?
I haven't used any water on my foam before stamping - it's that very dense stuff sold in 1/8 to 1/4 inch sheets in the craft store. It's flexible not dry and stiff like a kitchen sponge is. It's fun to cut the shapes and then arrange them before gluing. Never any mistakes or accidents.

That sounds like a good idea. I'll look around and see if I have some. Thanks -- Diane
